Just Like Mommy

The best and worst time of the day in my house is always naptime. Some days all 4 kids go right to sleep and I have 2 hours of pure quiet to do whatever I want with. Some days, none of the kids want to nap and it's 2 hours of struggling with them to lay down. Yesterday was kind of in between. Toby went right down and Jake decided he would play quietly on his bed until he fell asleep, but Ellie.... she refused! For about an hour I would have to lay her back down about every 5 minutes. It was definately getting old. Then, all of a sudden, it was quiet! She had finally fallen asleep! I was so happy. I tiptoed downstairs to do the dishes. About 10 minutes later I needed something from my room and when I opened the door :

Red lipstick everywhere! After the initial freak out about the carpet (which already has red nail polish on it from Ellie's last attempt at womanhood), I had to get some pictures. She is just itching to be a grown up girl who gets to wear makeup, high heels, and use all those fun products mommy keeps locked up! Ellie and her cousin Gracie always find some lotion, sunscreen, or soap to put in thier hair when no one is looking :) It's messy, but they always smell good!
